One of the main purposes of Fundación A LA PAR is getting people with intellectual disabilities to become fully involved in the labour market.
In order to achieve this, over the last twenty years we have created Social Initiative Special Employment Centres that can be joined by users of our Occupational Therapy Centre who have acquired the skills to work totally normally. There are currently over 160 people with intellectual disabilities with contracts in the different projects run by our 2 Social Initiative Special Employment Centres, achieving fantastic results in their work.
About our Social Initiative Special Employment Centres:
Cademadrid S.L. SEC
This was set up in 1991 to welcome the first users of the Pardo-Valcarce Occupational Therapy Centre who already had professional qualifications and could start work. They worked in horticulture, cleaning and different handling activities. The new business units were added in 1999: carpentry, floral decor, print shop, handling activities and candy making. Currently, another very important activity of the Special Employment Centre is the public tender for washing, repairing and classifying items for the Spanish postal service, having signed a contract with the Sociedad Estatal de Correos y Telégrafos S.L. In 2018 it merged with the Cadespain S.L. SEC.

Las Higueras del Tambor S.L. SEC
This Special Employment Centre was opened in 2006 upon the acquisition of La Quinta de la Muñoza, and is dedicated to organising and hosting events. It also runs our coffee shop Fun! Bar and our Rodilla restaurant franchise.
